Breast Cancer DOT COM 2025

Course description

The course is tailored to a selected group of 30 young oncologists with a particular interest in the breast

cancer research will join the onsite workgroup activities. Applicants are selected on the basis of their

scientific and educational CV. They are young (under 40), with specific clinical and research experience in

breast cancer, with good English language proficiency, both spoken and written.

BC DOT-COM aims to promote further development of participants' skills in breast cancer, through open

debates with national and international experts. This particular format is based on few essential

“educational” lessons and extended workgroups activities supervised by expert tutors. This will promote the

practice of identifying the “hot questions” in literature and focus on those topics using the literature research

tools available during the course. A frontal lecture on how to write successful papers is also given to the

participants. To improve their motivation, all the workgroups activities will be aimed at writing scientific

reviews about the topics considered in the months after the course. Finally, writing review manuscripts in

the months after the course, until the reviews are published in international scientific journals, will promote

establishing of an Italian network of young breast experts able to conduct cooperative scientific and editorial

projects.
